I was reminded of the delicious Date Almond smoothie at Fresh Restaurants in Toronto while browsing through Carla Lalli Music’s recipes. Her recipe included an orange and didn’t have any spinach so mine is a bit different. I suspect that the Fresh smoothie used a lot more date and almond because it was really like a milkshake. Here’s my twist on it:
Directions – 2 Servings
- 2 Medjool dates, pitted
- 4 tablespoons of almond butter
- 1 banana
- 2 big handfuls of spinach (about 4 cups)
- 18oz. water
Add all ingredients to the blender and blend until smooth. Enjoy!
