Are you feeling festive? The holiday season is upon us, and there’s no reason why you can’t add the spirit of the holidays to your green smoothie. This smoothie really is a treat! Warm, spicy, cozy, and delicious, this healthy smoothie tastes like the holidays.
I’ve adapted from a recipe from Beth Lipton. Here’s how I’ve added my little twist to her great original recipe!
Festive Gingerbread Smoothie – 2 Servings
- 18 oz. water
- 1 banana
- 2 Tbsp. almond butter
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- ½ tsp. ground ginger
- ¼ tsp. ground nutmeg
- Pinch of ground cloves
- 1 Tbsp. molasses (great source of iron, but maple syrup would also work)
- Handful of spinach (about 2 cups)
Combine all ingredients in a blender, blend until smooth, enjoy!
